Program Oshelp5

The purpose of Program Oshelp5 is to change ASCII files to EBCDIC files or vice versa.

To execute Program Oshelp5, after the >>? prompt type

>>? RUN Oshelp5 [Enter]

Program Oshelp5 responds ENTER: THE INPUT FILE NAME THE OUTPUT FILE NAME ATOE ETOA OR ETOAM ?

where ATOE indicates that the input file is an ASCII file and the output is to be an EBCDIC file. ETOA indicates that the input file is an EBCDIC file and the output file is to be a Space ASCII file where bit 7 = 0. This is a normal ASCII file. ETOAM indicates that the input file is an EBCDIC file and the output file is to be a Mark ASCII file where bit 7 = 1. This is only used by Prime Computers. INPUT FILE contains the ASCII or EBCDID file to be converted. OUTPUT FILE contains the converted file.
