The purpose of Program Oshelp4 is automatically build a batch file which will execute the same procedure for a number of different files.

To execute Program Oshelp4, after the >>? prompt type

Program Oshelp4 responds ENTER: 1. THE LIST-INPUT FILE NAME 2. THE TEXT-INPUT FILE NAME 3. THE OUTPUT FILE NAME 4. THE REPLACEMENT CHARACTER 5. (OPTIONAL: USE NAME STEM ONLY) ?

where the LIST INPUT FILE contains a list of file names each on a separate line. TEXT INPUT FILE contains a batch procedure where a replacement character has been entered instead of the name of the file to be used. OUTPUT FILE contains the batch procedure once for each file listed in the List Input File. REPLACEMENT CHARACTER is a %, & or any other character which will be replaced by the name of a file STEM NAME ONLY will be used if a 5th word is entered. If the List Input File contains the full file name including the extension, entering a 5th word will cause Program Oshelp4 to ignore the period and the extension when it feeds the file name into the batch procedure.
